Harry Winston

Project Description
The project began as material research. We built the pattern by hand, laying gold leaf, breaking it, and rephotographing it until the surface had the irregularity of something applied rather than printed, with the fracture lines and tonal shifts gold leaf produces when it meets a flat plane.
That artwork was translated into a screen-printed design and printed onto architectural glass, then installed across the store windows, so the pattern reads as a luminous gold screen from the street and as filtered light from inside.
